We love the art of finding the right nanny

What we do

We customise our recruitment every day and introduce only those candidates who perfectly meet the expectations of each family. Our strength derives from our methods of recruitment and interviewing process during which we pay particular attention to getting to know our candidates.

We focus on your family's needs

First of all, it is important for us to have a clear understanding of the family’s needs and their environment. Families who use our services look for people qualified, experienced, already trained and with excellent references, which is why we are very demanding in terms of our recruitment process and candidates’ references. Our goal is to find just the right nanny for your family.

A harmonious family-nanny dynamic is key.

Our strength derives from our years of experience

How we work

Each candidate is thoroughly interviewed by our director. We create a profile folder which includes copies of all diplomas, certificates, DBS and professional references from their previous families. With its broad experience in recruitment and placement, Spanishnanny Agency conducts full background checks and requires from candidates a folder consisting of criminal record certificates and documents which prove candidate’s professional skills in the childcare industry. All candidates must have a minimum of three years of experience in childcare if they would like to be considered to apply for any position and have their profile pre-screened by the agency’s consultants. Based on this initial assessment, we will advise the family to employ either a monolingual, bilingual or trilingual nanny.

Our strength derives from our years of experience as a child careers and methods of recruitment process during which we pay particular attention to getting to know our candidates.

Conditions

Conditions Of Employment For A Nanny

Daily / live out nannies usually work from 8:00am-6:00pm. Babysitting is not included and should be negotiated separately. Hours worked outside this should be paid at the agreed rate or time off should be given in lieu.

Live in nannies are likely to work longer hours between 7:00/8am-6:00/7pm. One/two evenings babysitting could be negotiated Mon-Thur within the contract. A live in nanny would expect to have weekends free.

Automated enrolment is a new law with requires all employers – including nanny employers – to make sure they have a pension in place for their employee.

Most nannies will need to be automatically enrolled into the pension scheme, and both the nanny and the employer will have to contribute to it. Automatic enrolment is being introduced gradually.

Tax and national Insurance

As an employer you are required to deduct tax and National Insurance from a nanny’s salary. Failure to do this could make you liable for arrears of tax and will lead to your nanny being unable to claim benefits or realise his/her state pension in years to come. Inland Revenue provide simplified documentation for employers of nannies. For further inquiries regarding tax and National Insurance you can ring the Employer’s Helpline on 0845 226 2203
